“Thanks to everyone at 39steps for all of your hard work!”
Allyson Doby / Information and Communications Officer
Nidos approached us to help them visualise their rebranding project, changing their name to Scotland’s International Development Alliance. It was our job to come up with a logo and brand guidelines which matched up with the values and aims of their organisation and incorporated their new strapline “Scotland for a fairer world”. We settled on an evolution of their previous globe theme. The motif has a business-like feel, brightened up with a colourful palette which helps give a sense of the vibrancy and mix of global cultures.
Before the new brand identity was settled on, we began working on the planning phase of the responsive web design project. We started with a user persona workshop as we were keen that the new site would be simpler for both administrators and members to find there way around and perform key functions. Next, we moved on to wireframing and prototyping the site, which required some potentially complex integrations with Civi CRM. Once the brand identity had been approved, we were able to work up visuals quickly and apply the design to the prototype website in time to meet the client’s deadline.
After the rebrand and website project, we’ve been delighted to continue helping The Alliance with ongoing website support and a couple of design for print projects – including a couple of stylish exhibition banners to help launch the new brand and website. It’s great to see organisations taking care of design consistency and continuing to grow and develop their brand.
